A few words about TPM
In short and simple, the TPM is a separate crypto processor that provides more advanced encryption, and therefore a higher level of security. It's just so you know what you're dealing with.
If your computer has hardware less than 2015, it is almost guaranteed to have a TPM 2.0 module. However, more often than not, it is disabled by default. To enable it, go to BIOS and look for options related to Intel PTT or AMD fTPM for Intel and AMD processors, respectively. If not, try to search just for something related to TPM; these options may be named differently depending on the motherboard manufacturer.
Even if your PC hardware is older than 2015, chances are it still supports TPM 2.0. Some motherboards have expansion slots for hardware TPMs. If yours has one, you can search for a suitable TPM 2.0 module for it, buy it and install it.
Remember that any workarounds you try to circumvent the TPM 2.0 requirement are at your own risk. This can have unexpected consequences - for example, the system may become unstable, or, after some time, it may stop updating.
