RSLinx is a comprehensive communications server that provides communications between devices in the enterprise and a wide range of Rockwell Software applications such as RSLogix 5/500/5000, RSView32, RSView Enterprise Series, and RSSql / RSBizWare. There are also several open interfaces for third-party vendors producing HMI software, RSLinx data acquisition, and more. FactoryTalk View Studio is a design environment that includes FactoryTalk View Site Editions and RSView Machine Editions. FactoryTalk View Studio supports project editing and reuse for better interconnection between embedded machinery and human-machine interface (HMI) monitoring systems. With FactoryTalk View Enterprise Series, all software products in the suite are built on a single, integrated and scalable architecture. Application developers can import entire machine-level applications into control-level applications, or drag and drop individual components and "insert" them directly into the control-level design, saving development time and reducing engineering and training costs.
