Entity Framework Core 2 is the newest version of Microsoft's O/RM for performing database persistence in .NET-based software. EF Core is a lightweight and extensible version of Entity Framework that has been written from the ground up. Whether you are new to EF Core or looking to see how to shift your earlier EF experience to EF Core, this course can help you get started.

First, you'll learn how to define an EF Core data model to act as a bridge between your .NET objects and your database. You'll then learn how to interact with the data model using EF Core's various APIs. Finally, you'll be shown how to incorporate this model into a desktop application based on the .NET Framework and a cross-platform ASP.NET Core MVC application. By the end of this course, you will be able to build .NET framework, or .NET Core software using EF Core 2. All coding will be done in Visual Studio 2017 in a Windows environment.
