I even get deeper in understanding the psychology and the behavior science of the creative problem solvers especially during my Ph.D. studies and my PMP study. (I'll not bore you with all the theoretical theories, no worries)

I've tried many creative thinking techniques to solve my problems ...

Some techniques just didn't work or I thought it was so weird and unpractical to do ... like taking a nap and before falling sleep think of the question you want to answer and you will dream of the solution and then write your dream and investigate the dream because the dream has the solution .... Well, the dream it technique never worked for me (I never take a nap nor I can remember my dreams) and for me, I need techniques that are practical and systematic and can be done in the same way over and over again for any problem to find unique practical creative ideas. Dream it is not in my list of practical creativity Techniques.

By definition, Practical creativity is the ability to discover solutions that will solve problems (period).

P is the preparation stage as you are going to the creative thinking adventure you have to prepare your mind to enjoy the adventure (no worries there are no weird techniques and no techniques involve balloons or deep breathing).

S is for splitting and squeezing the problem like squeezing an orange to enjoy a cold glass of the juice. Without splitting and squeezing the orange, how you expect to get the juice?

T is the stage for tapping and thinking of the problem ... where you apply the practical creativity questions and techniques and find your inspirational ideas. you'll be able to leverage ideas, that would otherwise...be left untapped, and make connections that could have easily gone unnoticed ...or may have been overlooked altogether....We'll cover each of these techniques in greater detail.

I is the stage of implementation and iteration. This stage is the final destiny ..it is the stage to find if your ideas will really succeed in the world or you need to modify it to get the best results.

Each stage and step of the PSTI method is explained in details with examples and stories so that you have the proof that this method works.

PSTI is a method that any person, creative or 'not', can use and *will* produce usable results. An honest attempt at the exercises is necessary - you can't go becoming a body-builder just by picking up a weight one time now, can you?
